How do you see yourself? Thinner, fatter, younger? When you see a picture of yourself, are you surprised a little? Our body image is such a crazy, powerful thing in a woman’s life. If you were ever heavy, you always see yourself as “the fat girl”. Some images are harder to erase. And even when someone is as beautiful as this lovely lady, she still cringes. Her body isn’t exactly what she would wish. She’s been through a lot, and when she looks at her body, she sees the past, the disease of Chron’s that has made her weight go up and down. The colostomy and bag that is permanently attached under her underwear. “I can’t wear pretty underwear,” she told me. But when I look at her, I don’t see any of that. I see a blonde bombshell, pretty and fit. I see a beautiful woman.
